Adobe Max

Adobe invited AKQA, along with two other agencies, to create the Adobe Max web experience and conference identity. The brief was to create an interactive site based on the concept of an urban landscape, and each agency was asked to incorporate a visual theme: typography, photography, or illustration.

We chose typography, and built the experience around the concept of what a city means to different people. Users could participate by adding to a word cloud that served as the building blocks of each city, watching it build from the ground up. We gave users the ability to change cities, typefaces, apply user-generated color schemes from Adobe Kuler, and switch to a stereoscopic 3D view, allowing users to generate a wide range of unique and colorful cityscapes while interacting with the site.
